If you're searching for a day center for adult with learning disabilities or mental health you'll find that we provide a warm, home like atmosphere where you can relax in a safe and friendly environment, while your caregiver enjoys a well
deserved break from their role.
Everyone who attends our service is warmly invited to take part in daily activities, all tailored to individual preferences and interests. These activities range from gardening and musical movement to local outings, baking treats to share, socialising with friends, or simply relaxing with a newspaper or book of your choice.
You'll always have the freedom to choose how you'd like to spend your day with us, with a variety of activities available. Our team takes the time to get to know you, allowing us to plan activities that align with your hobbies and interests.
We also work closely with the local community to ensure you stay connected and continue enjoying the everyday moments that matter most.
While you're with us, you can enjoy a light breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea, each meal prepared by our on site chefs, who focus on maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet.
Our goal is to help older adults break free from social isolation and lead enjoyable, fulfilling lives, regardless of age. The key to achieving this is maintaining good health and overall well-being.
We encourage them to take advantage of local community leisure activities and services.
In addition to supporting individuals within the project, we also offer an outreach service to assist people in their own homes.
GSC takes a friendly approach to support, meaning we provide assistance that addresses various aspects of your daily life, including practical, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
Our key worker system ensures that you will have one main worker who will collaborate closely with you. This allows you to build a strong working relationship with them, and they will get to know you, understanding how to best support you. We can assist with:

-Assisting with benefit applications, reviews, and resolving any issues.
- Supporting you in improving your shopping and cooking skills.
- Helping manage your health and medication: understanding your health needs, attending appointments, and liaising with health professionals on your behalf.
- Coordinating all your care and support needs.
- Making referrals, arranging, and attending review meetings on your behalf.
- Addressing tenancy and housing issues: reporting repairs, maintaining your home, paying rent, and applying for Housing Benefit.
- Providing emotional support.
- Facilitating and mediating relationships with friends and family.
- Raising concerns, including safeguarding.
- Helping you understand how to keep yourself safe both inside and outside your home.
